Good day all, I am having problems with a clang noise coming from the left side of my 01 blazer when I turn sharp and turning while in reversing (All a low speeds) I don’t hear the clang noise all the time. I replaced the upper, lower ball points and “cushion pins” I think that’s what they are called in Jan. I replace those items because I would hear a squeaking sound when I would go over bumps. ANY IDEAS ABOUT THIS CLANG NOISE WHEN I TURN AT LOW SPEEES?

Ya i seem to have this same problem kinda seems like it happens when im pulling out of my drive way and i hit the brake to stop.I also hear it when im just pulling out of a parking stall. I also just had ball joints replaced. I also dont hear it all the time just some times. I cant seem to figure out what it is either andi just had my truck in the shop at a front end specialist when i had my ball joints done. They said my bearings and everything where good. Think it might be something to do with the axle shaft for the 4wd. If you figure it out please post back on here with what it was.

I was told that after you put new ball points in sometimes you have to lube themagain shortly after. He said for whatever reason you he had to grease a ball point two or three times before the clang noise went away. I don't know if there is any truth to that, but its worth a shot. I plan of going to the shop tomorrow and I will let you know what happens in a few days.

Hmm the guy that did mine didnt say anything about that i guess i could go check them out some time to see if they need some grease. And in regards to ur PM it happens in 2wd im not sure about 4wd might have to try and see if it does it in 4.

trying to figure out the same problem on mine. sounds like a rattling cat. converter, very very intermittent, but i DONT have a cat. converter.....seems to be coming from drivers front tire. but if i get out and push the suspension up and down it dosent make the sound.
makes that rattling type noise and very very bad sqeaking when going over bumps, turning and even going straight, replaced the brake pads a week ago, its not that. my wheels bearing dont humm or anything....anyone figure this out!? its sooooo annoying!

My 02 Jimmy would make a clanging sound when turning sharp also, and at slow speeds, it turned out to be the front driveshaft was worn out, replaced it and never heard a sound again.

I would love to know if anyone found out what was causing these problems. I have a 2000 Blazer that squeaks very loud anytime I go over a bump or turn and often when I turn hard while backing up or pulling forward slowly I hear a thud, such as pulling out of a parking place. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
