Manual Transfer Case Conversion
I have a 1997 Blazer ZR2 with the push-button 4WD and I want to do the manual shift transfer case conversion. My only question is which transfer case do I need? I know I'm looking for a NP-231, but I've seen different variations of it, like the C and the D. Which one do I need to look for to get the most straightforward swap? I'm willing to open up the cases if I have to but I've seen some instances on the internet of a simple swap and some where the cases had to be pulled apart and have internals switched around.
Edit: Another question, I've searched forums far and wide and I can't find out what wires I need to ground out to make the transmission shift right when it's in 4Lo. I know that there's some wiring I have to do but I can't find anything that says what I need to do.

I've done a bit more research and I've found that there's at least 3 different NP-231's: C, D, and J. Chevy, Dodge, and Jeep. I think the only difference between them is the input/output shafts. You can get a J or a D and put it in your chevy if you switch the input/output from your stock transfer case, and vice/versa. But I believe it would be easiest to just find a C case for my chevy and swap it in. Please someone let me know if I'm wrong.
