Default Need some advice on add a leafs

I have a 2005 s10 blazer 4x4 (2 door 4.3l) that is carrying a lot of extra weight from a audio system and batteries. It is sagging in the rear a fair bit.

I was planning to get an "add a leaf" kit online but I am not sure of a good one to get.

Long or short aal's? Also, 2.36" width or 2.5". I measured mine and they were
2 7/16" wide.

Just don't want to get the wrong ones.

Thanks

Add-a-leaf is a temporary band-aid to the root cause, (the springs aren't strong enough). If you want to do it the right way, take it to a professional spring shop and have them do what's necessary. ZR2 rear springs are rated at 1100#. Z85 RPO code springs are rated at 1200#. There is a 1400# capacity rear spring set available, (aftermarket) for 2nd gen S/T series vehicles, ~$200 plus installation. The important thing is to do what is necessary to get the rear ride height within specs. Rear spring width is 2.5" on all 2nd gen S/T series vehicles.

It depends on how much sag you have, i would get both and see how it is after about 2 weeks if its too high you can always take one stock leaf out later.

I just want a tad more load capability and maybe a slight lift. Money is pretty tight right now so all new springs are not possible right now. Will definitely keep that in mind though. I think my shocks are bad too. so i may be replacing those also.

I just don;t know what ones to get. They all say not compatible with my 05 blazer or only from70-91 or something like that. Having some trouble.

Is your ride really rough with the short leafs? I heard that long ones are a bit smoother but the extra weight in my truck will always be there.

Stiiff when empty but even a full tank of gas softens it up a bit. Not to bad overall
