hello all, i just bought a 03 Blazer ZR2, it was in pretty rough shape both inside and he hit a concrete barrier on the passenger side doing about 30km/h, so i got it for really cheap. i have the interior all cleaned up and its at least driveable inside now. my issue now is with the front end:
first off, the previous owner never rotated the tires at all, and did a lot of off roading with it so the front tires are feathered really bad. which im sure isnt helping my problem. the truck was steering a little funny so today i jacked up the front end and started wobbling around the steering linkage, the idler arm was very loose and the tie rods had some play so i replaced the idler and inner and outer tie rods today. i matched them up with the lengths of the old ones were when i pulled them out, but it needed an alignment before i changed the tie rods anyway so i know they arent dead on straight. my camber is also way out as the outside of the front tires are worn way more than the inside. but since ive owned the truck (2 weeks) ive noticed that to be driving in a straight line the wheel has to be turned about 1/8th of a turn right. im guessing/hoping these issues are going to be fixed when i take it for an alignment tomorrow. but my question is that ive recently also noticed that the passenger side sits about 1/2-3/4" lower than the drivers side in the front, is the only way to fix it with the tbars? i plan on doing shackle and a tbar lift anyway so should i just lift the passenger side back even with the drivers side and then add 1.5" for my tbar lift and then take it for the alignment? or is there something else i can do/check to see whats causing this? or is a typical gm product defects? thanks in advance and im pumped to have found the forum just in time!
