Default NP203 installation

Hi guys,

It has been a while, but I have replaced my old engine with a newer one. Now I have installed everything so for but I am strugling with my transfer case. What is the easiest way to install it again? I have been trying today but there is no way getting it up high enough as it is so heavy.

I am thinking to use the engine hoist through the hole where normally the shifter is but I am not if this will workk. How do you normally do it?

Br.

Default The easiest way

I have done this a few times. The easiest was when I had the Blazer on a lift and used a transmission jack. The other times I just used a small floor jack and brute force. This process was usually accompanied with some four letter words. It does not want to stay on the jack. Don't give up!

It is just on the driveway. So getting it on the lift is not an option. Putting it on a jack is probably the best but I could not get it on.

2 people and two floor jacks is a good idea. i had this gigantic transfercase in a truck i owned before and it literally weighs 200lbs. even getting it on the jack is a fun time. but if you have two floor jacks under it one under the middle and one under the output shaft for the front driveshaft its doable. just have someone work the jacks and you guide the transfercase, just be ready to get the heck out of there if it falls
