Default passenger side cv axel

i own a 98 blazer, and i woke up this morning to a small puddle of oil under my truck under the passenger side cv axle. after looking at it the oil is coming from the inside of the rubber boot on the cv. it turns out its gear oil from the diff. the rubber boot is broken and my cvs are junk so i will be changeing them, but bc there is gear oil comeing from the boot on the cv does that mean that i have a bad seal? and if so which seal or seals would it be?
