Default Power steering!!

I have a 99 s10 blazer. i had just taken it offroading yesterday and i got stuck. In the process of getting out i lost powersteering and there is a leak somewhere. Any suggestions or previous experiences where it might be a quick fix. thanks

sounds like your going to need a new gearbox, its not hard to do (3 bolts) and 2 lines, pics would help us understand what you are talking about.

yea, it looks like the output shaft is stripped, you can either buy a new one from the parts store (about $200) or what i would do is go to the local junkyard and pull one from another truck (about $20) i would also replace the pitman arm while im in there.

it turns out that it was the pump and not the steering box causeing the leak
