Default Power steering delete belt size.

Hey what’s going on guys. I’m in a pinch right now. I got a 2000 blazer with a 4.3 with ac. The shaft in the pump has worn causing the pulley to ride around funny and spit the belt I can legit almost take the pulley off the pump. I want to just throw a shorter belt to bypass the pump so I can charge my battery/not overheat the motor until I can get a used one. Also so I can get back and forth to work. I ran a string and must has made a mistake somewhere down the line with my measurements. I had a 70k6 and with the tensioner all the way back was still at least 3 to 5 inches off. Parts stores are closed now. I know someone has had to do this before any help would be super epic!!! Thanks anyone!!

Man, I understand you're in a pinch, but trying to drive a power steering vehicle without power steering is gonna be almost impossible at low speeds.

Good luck on your search

For the cost of the belt, could get a pump ag the scrap yard...

I just did this. 770K6 worked great for me, and I kept the ac compressor in the loop. I had exactly the same power steering pump problem. Hopefully this helps the next person who’s looking for the size, cause this is the first google result.
