i have an 01 blazer and that last few weeks its been making a really clingy rattling noise whenever i punch the accelerator. The noise usually only happens from a dead stop to about 15mph, but it will rattle if you punch the gas at high speeds too. Once the vehicle goes up to about 45mph and the gas is just feathered it will drive smooth. It only sounds like its coming from the rear left, i was thinking it may be a bad wheel bearing or bearing in the axle....if anyone has any ideas any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd take it to a local shop and have them check it out....could be something hitting your drive shaft. Had this happen to my 99...it would only happen when it was on a slope and in reverse.
The shop guy took it for a ride with me and heard the noise. Put it up on the rack and found the problem.

i have a 2004 blazer 4x4 that started making that same kind of noise. at first i thought it was the u-joints but they seemed fine. i noticed a lot of oil and dirt on driver side shock so i assumed the noise was a busted shock. two days later my rear end exploded and it blew a hole in the rear diff cover. if i was you i would get it looked at asap.
