Default Update...

Tried once more to bleed lines at master cylinder this am. No luck. Very little air came out. Had blazer taken to brake shop around 1pm . Well shes still there in bay 2 overnight. They hooked up scanner and fluid pump eventually and came to conclusion that my 2 front lines have collapsed and i needed a new master cyl. So 8 left there at 5 and bought 2 new lines and the master and will b there at 9 when they open to install parts and hopefully the blazer will b good to go....
ill letcha know.. $79.99 for scanner hookup.? Aint that kinda high

Hopefully that gets you back to good-as-new. I always hate spending money on maintenance. I'd much rather spend it on improvements, lol. As far as that price goes, yeah, it seems like a lot for a few minutes of work, but that scanner probably cost thousands of dollars and they have to pay for it somehow. Also, I don't know what the shop labor rate is where you live but around here, it's right at $200/hr. So 79 bucks is probably pretty fair.

Thanks for ur reply Tom A. I had the master cylinder replaced . Ive had to replace both rear calipers due to them seizing up while driving. Heated up to the point of smoking. Drove fine for a little while, maybe 15 mins then i noticed the resistance so I changed them. All of my brake lines bleed now and there's no air in the system. Can anyone tell me why my brake light has come on now and I still feel some resistance . front wheels seem to be hotter than a normal hot . what could be the issue hereBrake light went off when I bled the brakes again and then as soon as I cranked it up and pushed the brake pedal the brake light came back on and remained on

I wish i had a stick of dynamite. I would take care of this blazer for good. I have thrown 1000s of dollars into this thing and its just one thing aftr another. Everything was working fine with the braking sys until i goto replace the pads on the rear and it seems the whole damn sys failing now . Drove 15 miles to my house and when i got home my wheels were so hot i could just walk by and feel the heat. Even the rear wheels that i just replaced the calipers on. I wonder if i got the wrong pads. Abs unit bad ?? Brake booster?? Everytime ive bled all four cali s i get solid fluid. Now brake light on and new and old calipers are not opening back up after pushing the brake petal. Abs light on, brake light on.
im over it all. I mean i love the vehicle but im sick of working just to sink my paychecks into this thing.
Enough is enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
