Default Shackles

im looking to get a set of shackles for my 1989 s-10 blazer 4x4. anybody know of a good set? i figure with the shackles and cranking the tbar i should be able to get 31" tires in there.

also do shackles only raise the rear? or do i just buy 2 sets in order to raise the front as well?

they just raise the rear only. the tbar crank is what lifts the front end. As far as the shackles go i dont know what the guys here got, i made my own (not sure of the dementions right now tho). I think you might find them on ebay for around 80$ for a set.

for every 1" of lift you need to make four complete turns. i dont think you can go above 2 inches tho. i got 2" shackles and did about 1.75" in tbar crank and it evened it out nicely. you can look at my profile pics

Here is what my 88 looked with a 3 inch body lift and 31 mud terrains. I wouldn't crank the tbar too much on these older trucks unless you have newer front suspension parts. Could cause a lot of wear.
