Default Shock recommendations

So I'm trying to get a bunch of work done on my Blazer. Once I get the brakes replaced, then I want to replace the shocks. The vehicle see primarily road use, although I do go up into the mountains with it on gravel roads - the vehicle is stock, and does not see any sort of serious off-road usage. I'm focused more on durability than ride smoothness. Any particular type you'd recommend?

i was using the Gabriel Ultra series shocks, not bad ,replaced them just the other day because of the 5"BDS lift.. had no problems with them, they were a little stiffer than the stock bilstien that was origionally installed

Do you remember the model number of the Monroe shocks offhand?

Check out Monroe Reflex Monotube shocks. If you don't mind a stiff ride, they're great.

i had the Gabriels and the housings rusted out. now i have the Monroe sensa-traks because i got them cheap, but the Bilstiens were by far the best for everyday driving followed by the Reflex, which i had on my other Jimmy.

Thanks. I'll do some research on them. My biggest thing is to find the right combination of function, durability, and price.
