Should alignment be done for summer tire's or winter
I'm in the process of a complete front end rebuild. I'll be getting it aligned of course. I'm also going to be lowering it 3" as soon as the rest of the part's get here. I would think I should wait on the alignment until I get it lowered,,,right??
Right now I have on my summer tire's/wheel's, wich are 245/50/18 on chrome wheel's. In just a couple of month's I'll be switching to the winter stocker's, wich are 235/75/15. The 15" tire's are 1.25" taller than the 18". If I get it aligned for the 18's, will it wear out my 15's over the winter. Will I have to get it re-aligned every time I switch tire's. Is the 1.25" differance enough to worry about. Thank's.[/align]

yes wait to get it alligned. As long as both sets of rims and tires are balanced properly there is no need to realign each time. All your allignment happens with your upper and lower control arms and tie rods. There is no adjustment from the spindle out so wheels dont matter.
