Default Spline grease

Do any of you have thoughts how what grease to use on driveline spline shafts? How to apply? What to use?

I heard the 4Runner guys like the Motorcraft XG-8 PTFE grease.

I use what I have on hand, which is either GP grease or high temp grease. Never gave it much thought, to tell the truth.

I use the same grease as for wheel bearings.

I'll agree with the above comments. I use the grease I have on hand.

Application process I follow:
  1. Clean it
  2. Lubricate it
  3. Reassemble
  4. Drive until the next thing breaks.
  5. Repeat.
