squeeling in reverse...
Okay, I seem to get a loud squeeling noise coming from the rear of my truck while only moving in reverse. It never happens in drive. I've asked a few of my friends about it and they're all stumped. It seems to be getting worse although it could just be the cold effecting it. I haven't found anything on here about it. Mostly just clunking noises, which I'm not experiencing (thankfully). Any ideas?
Do you have rear discs? Check the squealers on the brake pads in the back if you do. A lot of the time they will squeal more noticably while in reverse than in drive. I'm running into this with my truck as well.
I do have rear discs. I haven't noticed any change in my brakes so I don't think they're really worn or anything. But I definately wouldn't rule that out. Besides, if that's the problem I'd be pretty happy that was it, haha.
I was thinking it might be the e-brake hanging up in the rear since I put in a remote start a few months ago and put it on so I could take the underdash off a little easier. I've had issues with it before when I did my brakes.
