Evening all,
been a while since I have last been on here (feels like a confession) but have been stopped in my tracks when I got to the point I had to replace a RHD pitman arm... but he who persists wins
finally managed to find a brand new one so that jobs done, any way I digress.
1998 4.3 Blazer RHD with air bag, in the U.K.
I have a really annoying problem on my Blazer, with the road wheels dead ahead my steering wheel is 45° out GRRRR I have read the manual hmmm I have searched on here, hmmm yes there are instructions on how to remove the steering wheel but they are so confusing, can some one please point me in the right direction for an IDIOTS guide on removing the steering wheel?
is it enough to just pull the air bag fuse and disconnect the battery to stop the air bag going off?
thanks in advance from the numpty in the U.K.
Tony

I always wait at least an hour after disconnecting the battery before touching any yellow air bag connectors, just to make sure all residual power has depleted.
Also be careful with the clock spring inside the steering wheel. don't turn it too far or you will break it.
Also you could simply go and get a wheel alignment and call it a day.

Well after 4 hours of struggling finally got the steering wheel off, only to find that you can't just reposition the steering wheel 2 or 3 splines round to straighten out the steering wheel as it's got set ridges that it has to sit in..... Ok so how do you align the front wheels up with the steering wheel?
