Default stiffer suspension??what 2 use...

well its about that time i get the truck ready to go back on the road before winter. the shocks on it are most likely origional with 180km on them and the truck was lowered 2" for a year which im sure didnt do them any good.
so what shocks are out there that will fit my 02 jimmy 2dr sls and will be a little stiffer over stock?
the truck is currently all stock height and im looking at keeping it that way...just want a little better suspension.

Shocks will not really effect your suspension much. If you want a stiff suspension, beef up your rear leaf pack with an AAL, tighten up your tbars (if 4X4) or put stiffer springs up front. You do not want your shocks to dictate how your vehicle rides.

However, if you are dead set on using shocks to determine how your stiff your suspension feels, get air shocks front and rear and air them up until you feel your suspension feels the way you want it to.

is the front not dual wishbone? there arent any coil springs is there?(ive barely looked at the truck in months i cant remember)
as for the t-bars, when i lowered the truck i did it the cheap and easy way...loosened the t-bars..it is back at stock height but wouldnt that mean if i tighten them the truck would rais up not stiffen the suspension???

im not dead set on just shocks, but i think the truck is due for a new set, im open to other options as well but shocks will be part of the part list, and ide like to start on it by october and have it finished by nov so the cadi can go in the garage for storage.

Being as you do have a 4X4 you have tbars. Cranking them up will raise the front end but will give you a stiffer ride. Adding an AAL will do the same in the rear. Just put the AAL in first and see how it sits, adjust the tbars accordingly though don't get to crazy. Try to keep the tbar adjustment to 1.5 inches or less.

For a Stiffer shock use Rancho Rs-5000's
i have used them for over 5 years and nothing beats them for 4x4 shocks!
