Default Stiffer Front End Suspension?

Hey all, I am blessed to have my highschool ride be my beloved 1997 4dr 4WD Chevy Blazer. Me and my dad love to off road, but when I am off roading I feel that my front end suspension is not hard enough. What I mean is, when I hit a bump I feel that my blazer takes to much of the force and my wheels smash into my well. I am talking about 10MPH on a trail with any deep hole scares me. I understand that I have front end independent suspension, but I thought that really only affected the amount of articulation you can have.

So I am a newbie, and My father is only familiar with his land rover (Solid Axle).

Any help would be greatly appreciated, or someone just telling me its not possible. =)

I have a 2" lift for better clearance, and procomp es3000 shocks.
