Default Stupid Question

I probably should know this, but after you replace shocks do you need to have an alignment? Thanks.

No, you do not need to get an alignment when replacing shocks.

i would check the rest of he front end parts, ball joints, idler arm, pitman arm, tierod ends before getting the alignment done. you can't get a good alignment with loose parts. its like putting the frosting on the cake before it is baked! too many shops will do the alignment even with bad parts and you still tear the tires off. all they want is your money!!! the alignment is the last thing to do when working on the front end, suspension or tires. make sure you have all the stuff on that you are going to run - then align it.
