suspension stiffening

Default suspension stiffening

i want to stiffen the suspension on my 99 blazer to get rid of some of the body roll, any thoughts.

The stock suspension is pretty soft, so like AJBert said, heavy duty shocks would be your first thing. If that doesn't do it enough for you, you could also upgrade the front torsion bars to heavier models (assuming you have a 4x4). The bars from a ZR2 (if you can find them) are quite a bit heavier and will stiffen the ride to a more truck-like ride. As for the rear an add-a-leaf will definitely stiffen the back end up, but most of them also lift the rear end a couple of inches. Not a bad thing in my opinion, but everyone has different tastes. New bushings for the swaybars and new front end parts will do the trick. I put new swaybar endlinks on mine and it made a huge difference. On the freeway at 75 mph it felt like it was on rails during an emergency swerve.

Zr2 bars on the front made the rear body roll worse on mine. I cut the eyes off the main leaf in a spare set of springs and added a sway bar to the rear to fix it. The extra leaf did raise it a small amount.
