Default Suspension with Trailer

Hey All;
I have a 2000 4DR 4WD. I am pulling a 26' Trailer. I have a suspension problem I think. Without the trailer, my truck seems to ride lower in the back. With the trailer, there is obviously a drop. Is there a lift system that I can get that could be activated from the inside of the truck that would automatically level the truck when there is a load on? Also with the drop even without the trailer, does it sound like I would need to install new shocks, or additional leaf springs? If new shocks, what kind would be best?

shocks do not affect your ride height at all. if the rear end is sagging, then it would be the springs. all shocks do is dampen the energy of the springs. Air Lift sells exactally what you are looking for. its airsprings that you mount in between your frame and spring pack. there is a compressor which you turn on with the flick of a switch from the drivers seat and you can level out the truck that way. when you take the trailer off, hit the switch the other way and the air will dump out the bags and bring the rear back down. hope this helps.

I'm also wondering how will my ZR2 will react this summer with the trailer on. Last years I used my Wrangler 4.0 (manual transmission) and it was great, like not even having the trailer behind!

I guess it will not be as easier since my ZR2 has automatic transmission, especially when using brakes and accelerating. Any advice?

(consider the trailer with the boat on is about 2000 kg which is about 4400 lbs)

Bye,
