Default switching from 4 wd to 2 wd

So i just bought my first blazer and i seem to be having some issues with it not wanting to switch back to 2wd until after you shut the engine off. The transfer case does switch back but its like something is stuck keeping the front wheels engaged. I havent been able to get under to check anything yet. I have been trying to figure out other things under the hood. Thanks.

From what it sounds like your vacuum actuator is stuck.
Under your battery tray there is a little vacuum actuator that has a cable leading down towards the front differential and a vacuum line to it. When you have the chance I would totally get rid of the whole vacuum setup, it is a system that will go bad and the solution is a lot more reliable, Rex has a really good write up on how to do the conversion, https://blazerforum.com/forum/builds...r-build-66048/. It should be on the first page.
