Default Transfer Case differences

What is the difference between transfer cases? For example, will a 241C 32 spline be ok to replace a 261 32 spline?

I believe they are almost the same dimensionally. The 261 replaced the 241 however it does not have the same torque rating as the 241 unless you are talking about the HD version of the 261. If you do find an HD version, it may have a higher spline count on the output shaft and a larger u-joint for the front output.

New Venture Gear Transfer Case Chart - for the torque ratings of the NVG transfer cases.

I sure am glad that you provide that spec sheet, I was using the wrong model number all this time in my search.
My Blazer had the 241 C, not a 244 C. They do not use the "4" for the last number. Its no wonder that I could not find a replacement
Once again, thanks.
