Default Transfer Case Rear Output Seal replace NVG 236, 4-Button, NP8

Hi all,

Today I noticed what looks to be a leaking rear output shaft seal on my 4-button, NVG-236/NP8 transfer case. Has anyone replaced the transfer case rear output seal on one of these? Can it be done while the transfer case is in the vehicle? Any advice would be appreciated.

I took some pictures but I forgot to check for any free play in the output that could indicate a worn bushing.
