Default What Brakes are You Using

I am in need of a brake job. I also need new rotors so I thought I'd look into an upgrade. I'm running an 04 Blazer, LS, 4D 2WD. Anyone running performance brakes. I know I want to stay with ceramic pads. But are the Brembos, etc worth the bucks?

im using the wearever gold ones from advance auto, they arent the quiestest but are work fine and seem pretty solid. After I got mine they changed the shims on them so the new are suppose to be quieter, they are made by wagner. I have The middle grade raybestos on the front for rotors and napas on the rear. Dont go drilled if that what you mean by upgrade.

I work at autozone... not sure how good their ceramic pads are. But I do know that they warranty them for lifetime. And because Autozone is a big pushover, that literally means you get free pads every time they wear out. Quite a deal...just saying.

I went all Delco, lifetime warranty on the pads... depends if you want to spend the bucks. Unless you're racing or are going fast enough to warrant the "big stopping power and no brake fade" I'd save the coin.

Thanks everyone. My main concern is that everytime I have the rotors turned, it takes about 2 weeks before they warp. I'm so sick of the vibration every time I try to stop.

Well there are many reasons for warping, too much heat, over torque lug nuts, uneven mating surface between rotor and hub. The wearever golds also have lifetime warranty

I changed my rotors ,front brake pads and brake shoes last year.

RAYBESTOS 5036 Rotor - Front
RAYBESTOS ATD154C (AT-D154C) Brake Pad - Front

These are nice premium ceramic pads and the Raybestos better grade of rotor.
I love the matchup. They have performed well over the past year.
Very little brake dust and easy to clean when it does appear.
I have put on about 15,000 miles and they still look and feel pretty fresh.

I have drum brakes in the rear(original drums).
WAGNER PAB514R Brake Shoe

If and when I have to redo them I am going to use the same parts.
They have all worked great.
