What do the torsion bar mounts look like?
Hello everyone, I've been looking trying to find the torsion bar mounts on my truck. I only see those links that look like sway bar links. Idk if these are them, cause I saw something that looked different online that looked like an engine mount. Does anyone have a picture of how they look? My truck is a '96 4dr 4x4 ls.

yeah, that's kinda what they look like.
they're mounted right inside your frame rails, @ the back end of the t-bars. the cross bar (that the t-bars/keys are in is where they're located.
while i haven't had to do any in a long time, i do know that you need a good size pry bar to "lift" the cross bar up, so you can slip/twist in the new one. the old ones usually "fall" out.
now i haven't done a 2nd gen truck yet, but i do know that on the 1st gen trucks you needed to "clearance" the right side t-bar hole in the cross member that the t-bar goes through (makes it a hell of a lot easier).
not talking about a lot, just a 1/4" or so. basically the width of the flame from your oxy/acet torches.
