Default Wheel/Tie Rod Clearance

Hey guys, I have a question that i'm sure someone has encountered. I have an 88 K5 with a 10 Bolt frontend. I also have a 16X12 M/T Classic Lock wheel with a 4.5 BS. My issue is that the tie rod end is hitting in the wheel when I tighten it up. I have done a little research but no clear answer to this specific application. Can someone please shed a little light. Thanks!!!!

you probably just cant run those rims. i tried putting a set of 16s off a 90s suburban and i had the same problem, looked like they fit but they are barely smashing against the tie rod. if you really want to use those rims and tires maybe look into doing a high steer steering set up which will actually relocate the tie rods up higher on the knuckle.

but really no idea if that will still cause the rims to hit it or not and one of those kits will probably cost a bit of money
