why does my blazer have leaf springs?

Default why does my blazer have leaf springs?

why does my blazer have leaf springs? i dont really understand it. it has a 3 inch body lift and sits really high but whys is have leaf springs? Also do stock blazers have them also, i didnt think they did but i dont know for sure, if they dont then why would they put them on mine before i bought it?

Because someone swapped the front independent suspension & axle out for a solid front axle. From the looks of it, your front axle is sitting forward more than it originally was as well.

Just so everyone else doesn't have to go digging around in his garage:

Yea mine has the same shenanagins goin on the front also. Good reliable upgrade

Just pull them out, not really needed. Most folks just put them in there for show.

Okay, I'm kidding!!! What has already been stated. Count yourself lucky in that you have a solid front axle, unless it is a D30.

Based on how narrow the front end looks in relation to the back, it likely is a D30. Either that or someone went to a lot of expense to narrow something else.

should i leave it like that then u guys think? and what do i do about the differance from the front and back
