Front Sway Bar Hits the Ground when Disconnected
#11
I used to drive an hour on the highway to the trails with no sway bars front or rear in my 97... body roll was a little more prominent, but i don't know if id call it dangerous.
They're easy enough to take on and off as long as you have new end links on the front... I don't think id leave them off permanently either. Maybe the rear.

lol taking your sway bar off is your preference obviously but I have 5000 miles on my blazer since I removed it and 60k miles on it since I bought it most of which are off road if you were to ask me it was the single best modification ive ever done to my blazer so do what you want with that lol. Have a wonderful day

suspension aftermarket stuff ive always had a 2wd until this truck. but I am an automotive mechanic and not a horrible one lol so I know how trucks work especially chevys. Ive rebuilt my chevy 350 in my c10. but on my s10 honestly in all the miles ive had it I havent had to repair it much been a really good truck changed the fuel pump and radiator in it and that has been it. The truck has 194k on a stock 2.8 grandpa bought it new off the showroom floor. On the s10 in particular I flipped the reciver hitch so it would stop dragging in the dirt since stock it sits low. I removed the sway bar and did a poor mans posi by welding the spiders to the carrier since i could care less about the stock 10 bolt as it will be swapped when i have the money for a sas in like 6 years lol, and did a complete sound deading stereo install like i have on many other vehicles for friends and stuff. But i am no stranger to vehicles have been working on them since i was 14.

yes ive worked on 4wds my dad had a 79 k25 gmc for years and all my buddies have toyotas. you asked if i have done many mods and to a 4wd s10 suspesion wise i said no. I have never done "performance suspension" stuff to a 4x4 since ive never owned one just watched/helped/ worked on stock 4x4s at work... but looking around for aftermarket parts and what not is new to me since im too the point where i have the money to do such a thing to my stuff. I left my opinoin to the guy with a sway bar issue and said it works for me to not have one. If that was wrong then I wont do it again didnt know this was a sore issue there is no law saying you need a sway bar and you must not know there was a day when trucks didnt come with them from the factory unless you got that option.
