Alright so I have a 98 GMC Jimmy with a 2 inch body lift and 2 inch shackles with a t-bar crank. Its sitting on 32 inch tires right now. I've been thinking alot and I was trying to figure a way I can get a little more lift out of it. The tires rub sometimes and it kind of bothers me. So if anybodys knows of some way to get a little more lift out of it your imput would be greatly appreciated.

remove the troublesome fender that catches the tire!
youre only other options are the 5/6' kits for a couple grand.

Not sure if this would make any sence or worth thetrouble, if so let me know. My thoughts are instead of cranking the t-bar get a lift key then add a 2" shackle to pick up the slack in the rear, or is that what you 4wd guys already do in the front? I wouldent know because i have a 2wd. I always her the saying "cranking the t- bar" are you using the stock key? I thought that puts alot of strain the tortion bar it self? If im wrong let me know. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Cranking the bars and using a new lift key do pretty much the same thing. The only difference is the key is indexed differently. For example, if you have a stock key, at stock ride height, lets say you have 10 threads showing on the t-bar bolt. If you install a new key with a better index, those same 10 threads showing would give you an inch or so of lift. Thats how those 3' kits on ebay work...you use a new key with a 1' higher index, and then crank your bars the 2'. Basically, a new key just lets you crank beyond what is possible with stock parts.
Problem is, both are using the torsion bars to lift the front, so either way, youre still wearing on your bars. But the bigger problem is the front end parts, not as much the bars themselves.
