I agree it wouldn't be impossible. but most people don't have jack stands or if they do its only 2. you'd need 4 jack stands to do the job right. I know I only have 2 jack stands... It is doable to do it yourself, but I'd say its a little more tricky to do

 

ah..now seeing as my only exp working wit cars in depth really has been on a fwd cavalier Z24..im am not seeing this as something i would try..id buy my friend who owns a S10 ZR2 a 6pack or some thing to help me or to do it himself lol

 

^It's always good to know people like that! My guy swapped my rear gear set for $150 plus a 12 pack of Miller light and a couple packs of USA Gold reds .

Yeah Bennedict you are right. You would need four to do it the right way. I was thinking of two jackstands for the truck and a floorjack to support the axle. But that's probley not the best method. If you got a Harbor Freight nearby you can get a set of 3 ton jackstands for about $30, lol. But really though 97Bravada if you have a mechanicly inclined buddy I'd get his help, always makes it faster and easier if you got someone to shoot the breeze with and help out. Plus never hurts to have someone near when you have a suv suspended above ya, just incase .
