rear sway bar disconnect or ditch it completly
It all depends on what you want your truck to do. I broke one of the rear links on my old '00 Bravada and I couldn't wait to get it fixed. I didn't like how it handled without it.
Try it both ways. Disconnect it and strap it up out of the way. Drive it. If it feels fine to you, get rid of it. If not, you will probably want to make up some disconnects.

Only one way to find out. Remove/disconnect it and see how you like it both on and offroad. Pretty easy to make the front a quick disconnect and, though I haven't looked into the rear, I would imagine it would just as easy.
