Has anyone delt with this company? are they good or bad?

 

My friend had a Rough Country lift on his F-150, the front springs started to sag more than the specs allowed and they sent him new ones free right away. I havent heard much about their lifts for S-10s and Blazers, but it looks about the same as the Superlift system.

 

that's what I have on my 92. No problems or complaints.

 

I was looking at their 2" suspension lift for my 99 4 door. I have heard some bad things about lifting IFS with torsion bars and that causing premature ball joint failure. Seeing how bad the lower ball joints seem to be already, I've been considering a body lift instead. Please post pics and let us know what you think if you decide to go ahead with it.
I used to have a IH Scout II and the lift Rough Country made for it was pretty decent, but softer than I would have liked. A friend of mine bought it and it did sag about an inch over the course of two years down to a 3" lift. It looks like the kit they have for our trucks is just shackles and new upper arms though, so I don't see sagging being an issue.

yeah, sagging wouldnt be an issue with ours. The only thing I dont like about body lifts is that it messes up your fan shrouding, puts it too high compared to the fan. The frame is also very visible without a body lift, the BL makes it even more visible. And if you have a trailer hitch, it will hang down pretty far compared to the bumper.

 

Couldn't tell you on the newer trucks, but on the solid front axle trucks Rough Country has the reputation of having one of the worst ride quality.

 

i personally dont like the rough country lift for the 98-04 blazers because it calls for you to bend your tie rods to a certain angle.... you will get the same effect from a torsion bar crank because that is essentially what 2" suspension lifts do on a genII s-10 blazer...
