SOA lift?

SOA lift?
hi, i am new to the blazer world, but i just acquired a 2001 Blazer ZX2 2-door a little while ago. However, i am familiar with jeeps, and a very popular lift with them is the Spring Over Axle lift... its pretty self explanitory, you take an axle that was on top of the spring, and move it to the bottom of the spring. i was just wondering if you can do this with the rear axle of a 01 blazer? also, what can i do to get this more off-road ready (can i remove trac bars, sway bars, etc to get more articulation while still remaining street-able)?

RE: SOA lift?
if you really want a decent on road and very capable off road blazer definetly go with a SOA out back, and you have 2 options out front--and 5' lift (superlift is nice) but if you wanna ditch the traction bars you should go with a solid front axle swap as well with a SOA on that........
theres really not that much to choose from with our trucks---but what there is out there is great!

RE: SOA lift?
so there wount be any driveshaft/u-joint issues with the increased angle? and for the istallation all that has to be done is re-weld the spring mounts from the bottom of the axle to the top?

i would say the rear angles will be steep, probly wont be able to use stock rear shaft.
