Default Suspension Upgrade

I have a 2003 Chevy Blazer LS 2 door with 4.3 Vortec and I have decided to start upgrading the suspension. I want to achieve a three inch lift, but i really do not want to spend the money on full suspension kit. Instead i want to purchase as couple items at a time, and over time eventually get the desired lift. I have never upgraded suspension so i have no idea where to start. I am also interested in tire input for the 15 inch stock rims on it.

I would get a 2in body lift. The cost around $250. Then you can crank the torsion bars one inch in the front and get either shackles or an add-a-leaf for the rear. With that setup you will be able to fit 31x10.50 tires. They will rub slightly at full lock on the frame but thats no big deal. If you plan on taking off-roading they might rub the top of the fender but that depends on how hard you wheel it. Do a search and you will find everything you need to know.
