ZR2 Restoration/ Build Help
I am about to Completely restore my fathers 2003 ZR2, and I need help with this build. The plan is to do a 5.3 LS, and completely Upgrade the suspension. I have extensive experience when it comes to working on cars but this is my first truck build. So I am lost here. I do not know what brands are good/ Your experiences etc. I am planing on going tubular suspension, Poly, the works. I do not want to change the ride height nor the OEM look of the truck.
I need just about everything. I cant even find set of 33MM bushings for this thing.
What do you guys Rec? It seems like the ZR2 Has very little aftermarket following compared to the normal Blazers. I cant even find but 1 set of tubular Front Upper control arms. will normal Blazer sets work? 4WD/2WD Control arms different? Let me know! Thanks in advance.

Well the control arms themselves, if I'm not mistaken, and someone correct me if I am wrong, are identical between the ZR2 and non ZR2, it's the frame that makes up the difference in the height and width. So bushings for a non ZR2 should fit in the ZR2 arms no problem. Likewise, you should be able to use tubular arms made for a non ZR2 4x4 on a ZR2 model.

Thats what I was thinking as well. I was looking into these. Not many choices out there.
