Default 94 firebird wheels

Hey guy I found a deal on a set of firebird wheels, they're 16x8 with a 6.875" backspace. I've got s10 extreme wheels on now with 4.5" backspace but can;t fit 245 75 16's and still be able to turn, heh. I'm pretty sure the extra space will let me turn proper, but will i have any issue with the wheels being too deep in the wheel wells?

unless you have 4x4,they will stick out. had some firebird wheels on my 4wd and they fit perfect.

yeah, i have 4x4. the PO put wheels from an s10 extreme on it, with 4.5" backspace and shorter than stock street tires 235/60r16's. I picked up some knobby 245/75r16 hankook's and tried a test fit on one of the current wheels and there was just no way i would be able to turn at all, quarter turn of the wheel had the rear of the fender hitting the middle of the tire (looked badass though) . I'm hoping the firebird wheels with almost 7" of backspace will clear that up, but not sure if it will be too deep causing me issues on the inside instead of the outside. i'm picking them up shortly so will find out the hard way anyways(50bucks for 6 wheels some with tires on em, can't pass that up). Was just hoping someone had tried it and either found a)no chance b) some cutting required c) lift and cutting required or hopefully d) fits like a glove.

did you have a bonus inch and and a half of clearance on the corners? 235/65r16's are 28" in diameter the 245/75r16's are 30.5"

Well, they fit.

Before (4.5" backspace, 245/60/16)

After (7" backspace, 245/75/16)

Had to make sure they were functional too.
