Default Best size/brand tires

Hey--new to forum. Have an 89 blazer (4x4) with original aluminum 15x7 wheels. Having wheels professionally freshened up--on same rims, want to fill in the wheel wells with larger tires and get some width that I can while on same wheel, and while retaining somewhat stock appearance...have made poor tire size and quality choices before...anyone willing to share their approach and satisfaction with ride quality? Current tires are 235/75R/15

There's plenty of threads on what tires will fit. I think 30s will fit without any lifting/trimming.

30x9.5x15's are very commonly used if you're keeping the truck at stock height, and I'd recommend you consider 255/70/15's. They're right around 10" wide, and about 29" tall. Very close to the actual height of most 30x9.5"s but a bit wider. Personally I preferred the 255/70's I ran to my brother's 30x9.5's he had on his S10 Crew Cab. The 255's were noticeably meatier, which I really like. I don't like skinny tires. With either tire you shouldn't have any problems with rubbing unless your truck's suspension is sagging below factory specified height.
