I have the BFG AT/KO's and they are about the best "all around" tire I've come across. Much better in the snow than you indicated. Tread life has been exceptional. Very confident on wet roads. Offroad on rocks/dirt two thumbs up. Mud, so so, but any AT will be the same.
Overall, great on road manners and very capable offroad.
No experience with the Falkens.
If you are looking for something a little bit less, take a look at Cooper ST's. Very, very comparable to the BFG's but should be a few dollars less.

I'm buying the Cooper Discoverer STT's, MUCH better sidewalls, much better traction in damn near everything. They have a more aggressive appearance than the BFG A/T's (currently what I have.). I'm not going to be worried about eating my sidewall up when lowering air pressure on the trails, 'cause of the 3 ply "Armor-Tek" sidewalls of the STT's. VERY GOOD onroad too. I do know this from first hand experience. Not as quite as theBFG's, but ride just the same to me.
