I have the ST's are they are pretty good tire. I don't off road with my truck really though. I recently siped mine and that helped improve wet/snow/ice traction as well as quiet them down a bit.

You can't go wrong with the Coopers. I wish I could have gotten them instead of the BFGs but they didn't come in the size I wanted. I had some STTs before and was very pleased with them.

My dad has the STs on his Z71 and tows quite a bit with it. Does more than enough off road. Unless you plan on doing some serious mudding, they are great tires.

Don't know a thing about the other tires, though.

ok, thanks. here is the thing, i do alot of wheeling, towing and i am kind of a rescue ring for my friends(i do alot). i have bfg land terrains now and they do every well. alot better than the bfg koin mud. but they don't sell these tires anymore. so i need a tire that does all of that plus use as a dd(college boy, don't have the money for a wheelin rig).

Are you sure they stopped selling the best all-terrain tire ever made, or did your local store stop selling them?

Nothing worng with either the ST or SST. Both great tires and if you do more off-roading go with the SST. I have had all three tires and loved each of them.

they stopped making the land terrians. they have been the best tire that i have had so far. KOs are everywhere, thats why i don't like them anymore. i have only seen 1 discoverer st in my area, everone else runs KOs or MT tires. oh, and i can get for far less then the KOs.

I'm a huge fan of the Cooper tire line... I've put them on my Cavalier, My wife's Malibu, my wife's old '86 MR2, My brother's Stratus, and my other brother's Laser. Those are all the Lifeliner SLE tires; but, I had Discoverers on my '71 K5 until my wife made me sell it. They did well. The only thing I've heard about the STs is that they slide a bit in snow. My neighbor has the STTs and he says that they're the best tire he's ever owned. I was considering the STTs until I found the Nokian Vatiiva MT. It's the coolest tire I've ever seen. Supposed to be amazing in every situation, and it's cheaper than the Cooper. Made in northern Europe where they know all about snow. I'm probably going to be puttin these on in the next week, so I'll let you know.

those are pretty sweet looking tires. how much can you get them for? if you can get a 265/75r16 for around 113, tell me. the coopers that i am about to buy are 113 for that size so, it that or any mt cost that much for that size, tell me. if not, i am going to go with the coopers.

I'm getting quoted at 138/tire. They're telling me that they retail for 199/tire where the cooper STT is retail at 220/tire. I know you can check nokiantyre.com and look for dealers in your area. They'll quote you a high price, and then you tell them that you can get the STTs or whatever other tire you're looking at for 113, and you wanna know if they can come down anywhere near that. They'll throw you a bestprice, and you can probably get about 10 bucks less than that with some serious haggling. Thedealer that I'm talking to pays 118/tire for them; so, i'm hoping to fall just under 130/tire. Work on your nice guy voice, and give it a try. I've read nothing but good about the Nokian brand. Also, the tires are made by Cooper to Nokian specs if you buy them here in the USA. Good luck, man.
