So ive found a local guy selling 4 31x10.5 R15 BFG A/Ts for $275 with some crappy rims, i figured hey they have 80-90% tread left and all i have to do is swap the tires over to my stock rims. Now heres my question... I'll be buying another tire of the same size for like $50 on craigs list to use as my spare, will it fit on the tire carrier under my blazer?

It's going to be really tight. I fit a 30" up in there, and you have to fanangle it as you go to get it up in there.

Yeah, a 31" tire is quite a bit outside the norm to fit under an s-series SUV. Give it a whirl and see. Might be surprised.

Is that another difference with the Z's? LARGER SPARE TIRE STORAGE AREA

Ya ZR2's have plenty of room for a 31"

ADD IT TO THE LIST

Ummmm...ZR2's have the spare mounted on the tire rack on tailgate, not inside or underneath. You know, the one that is mounted to the passenger quarter panel and latches to the tailgate?
That is always an option to mount a swing away tire carrier on the back. Or throw it on top.
