I'm really needing new tires, either All Terrains or Mud Terrains. So far I've been looking at either Kumho Ventures or Toyo Open Country's.

My blazer has a 3" body lift, stock suspension height, 16x8" rims with a 4.5" backspacing. Currently I'm looking at 245/75's, possibly 265/75's?

I know the 265's will be roughly 1" taller, but will soon have the tbar cranked and shackles.

Any suggestions on either size will be greatly appreciated.

 

Well the perfect option if you want an A/T tire or a M/T tire would be the Good Year DuraTrac, it is right in the middle of M/T and A/T and has all around great ratings and reviews. It has become a very popular tire lately. I have them and love them. I would argue that they are the best tire under 33" for snow on the market today. They do awesome in the mud too

 

I have no experience with the Goodyear DuraTrac's 97CherryBlazer is recommending, but I personally prefer Cooper Tires. I've had a set of the Zeon LTZ's on my Durango for almost 20,000 miles now and they still look basically new (except where the wife burned a curb ). The Zeon LTZ has a great aggressive tread that's better than most A/T's. They're great in the snow and what little mud my Durango has seen. I haven't done any serious offroading with that vehicle cause that's why I have my Blazer. My next set of tires on my Blazer will most likely be Coopers, either the Zeon LTZ or the STT. I've also used the Cooper Discoverer's and had great sucess with the mileage and traction of those too.

I'm not really a fan of the Nitto Terra Grappler's on my Blazer right now. The grip offroad is fine, but in the cold climate where I live they turn into hockey pucks as soon as the temp drops below freezing. My Coopers have 10 times better traction on snow and ice.
