Default Painting stock bravada wheels black

I am considering painting my bravada wheels with some black dupli-color or what have you. I don't have any experience with painting wheels so I was looking for some suggestion from some of you who have painted wheels before. The wheels on my bravada are aluminum with a gold finish but they're starting to look rather beat up and ugly. I did away with the hub caps because they are all bent out of shape which makes them difficult to remove. A pic...

VHT has a "roll bar" paint that requires no priming or prep work other than cleaning. It is what I used. So far very durable and was easy to apply. I am very pleased with the outcome.
