Default rim size and tire

im new hear and was unable to find and answer to my question....i had recently bought a 97 2dr 4x4 blazer it currntly has stock wheels and 235/75r15 tires...and bout a 2" lift from shackles and torsion..i know those are not the best ways to do it but its cheep..anyway i got a real good deal on a set of mickey thompson classic 2 wheels 15x8...150.00 for all 4 only been mounted once and removed due to clearance. so they virtually brand new. of course i didnt know much about backing spacing till about an hour ago..they have 3.75" back spacing can i put these wheels on with my current tires and clear at full lock...i was thinking of a 2" body lift incase they dont fit...wich bring me to my next question...if i have to do a body lift to make these fit where do i find a 3" i only see 2"...also with that 2" or 3" body lift with 32" tires fit...i dont wanna do a suspension lift cuz its not currently in my budget....any help would be great

Its not full lock you will have trouble with. Its the rear of the fender by the outside edge. Take a look at this pic. See where the front tire hits the rear of the front fender? He is running 31" tires ont eh factory wheels.

Here this is another pic. In this pic I have 30" tires on teh stock wheels.

Now take a look at this pic, this is how much I had to trim to get 33" tires to fit with a 3" body lift on wheels with 6" of backspacing. That is where your tires will hit, on the fender, not hte frame.

Here is another pic with the 33" installed and the fender trimming done.

I once tried to run LT235/75R15 Michelins on 2wdr wheels, on my stock S10-blazer. they rubbed on the outside edge of the fender. Right where the inner fender well bolts hold the inner fender to the fender.

ok i see...so would i be able to clear the rear part of the fender with just a body lift..with 235 (30") tires..cuz i dont wanna trim the fender just to make a tire fit......and is the 2" the only one for a 97 blazer or is there a 3" that i dont know about...

A 235 is 29", not a 30" tire.
Performance Accesories sells both a 2" and 3" body lift kit for the S10's.

Sorry, the only expierence I have with less then factory 4x4 wheels is 2wdr factory wheels on a 4x4 truck. On that set-up even the 235's (29" tires) rubbed on the fender. I am not sure of the backspacing on the 2wdr wheels.

235 is a 29" at mickey thompson tires website they have an equivalency chart that sais 235/75 tires are 30"

i can only find a 2" for 95-97 upto 94 has a 3"...well i guess ill take one or the rims and fabricate a 30" tire design around it and see what i come up with or just have one tire done up to check for fitment guess its the only thing i can do....thnx for your help

My 95 Jimmy will fit a 235/75 and just barely, in back and in front. My sons 86 Blazer will not fit a 235/75/15 on the front, for the exact reasons shown in the pictures. Fit fine in back. Cannot judge on the model in the question, no experience.
LOVE your solution. About to work on that blazer engine wise anyway, so the fender will get some clearance help.

well i finally got a chance to reply...i got the rims and tires on...they do rub on the back part of the fender but not much however, the tires that are on there are do to be replaced soon so not all the tread is there wich would cause more rubbing...i do still have the mud flaps on the front to help protect the body from possible rub damage...when it comes time to replace the tires i first will be doing a 2" body lift to fix the rubbing...and maybe step up to true 30" tires

done on a 97 chevy s-10 blazer 2dr 4x4

thanx to all who helped...nate
