Default Stock '97 Question

I'm new to this board and tried searching on this topic but am still somewhat confused. I want to know if the 30/9.5R15 tires will fit my stock 1997 4WD, 4DR Blazer. I read around and it seems like some have experienced rubbing...I'm basically looking for tires that are a little wider and offer more traction than the stock 235/70R15's. I do have running boards that come up and over the wheel well and extend outward a couple inches.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Bob

They should fit. With a T-bar crank and shackles, you shouldn't have any problems with rubbing except maybe at the limits of suspension articulation/travel.

Ok, not very well versed on modifications...would this require adding anything and/or modifying the torsion bar? Either way, are the other tire sizes that would fit OK on a stock '97 but that are wider than the standard tires?

Thanks for your help!

The torsion bar crank is easy and free. A shackle lift is also somewhat easy and would require new longer shackles which are fairly cheap.

Completely off topic. Besides, it is posted in numerous threads in this section so look around a bit. Searching for "bolt+pattern" should give you the answers you seek.

ok this might sound dumb but is 30-950/r15 the same as 30-9.5/r15?
