so i have done my homework and a lot of researching but i need some input. I have a stock 2000 4wd 4dr with 235/75/15 kumhos on american racing rims. I want some beefier tires so I am thinking about picking up a set of general grabber at 2. The size i'm looking at is 265/70/15. By doing a simple math equation this is how big they are converting from metric:

height = ((265*70*2)/2550 + 15) = 29.54"

width = 265/25.5 = 10.39"

i have stock shocks, i have not cranked the t-bar, and not running shackles. do you think i will have any rubbing problems or should i step down to a 255/70/15? Thanks in advance!

 

Might depend on the backspacing of the AR's you have on currently. The 255's work out to pretty close the same diameter of the 235's and make a world of difference in looks.

 

i think i'll be alright with the back spacing on the wheels. i have seen a few other blazers with the same exact rims and backspacing running bigger tires. my main concern is the sag i get from the OEM shocks. they are old and i need to replace them. i would love to run the 265s if i can but i may just go with the 255s to be on the safe side. and yes the 255s look a lot better than the 235s. that is another reason i want to go bigger

 

to be exact the offset is 40. they are the american racing aero wheels - 15 x 7.

 

I was looking at a set of Aero's for my Blazer... IIRC you should be able to get them in stock size... meaning the 255 may work for you. If they rub, just crank the T-bars enough so they don't.

 

i have a stock 96 and want to run 31in wranglers or the 265s and a t bar crank i know the 31s rub when steering is cut all the way but i dont know if the crank will make much difference and im also thinkin about gettin a 2in body lift what do you all think

 

i have the 15 x 7 Aeros. i'm not sure what the width on the stock size rim is. i think i'm just gonna go with the 255/70 to be on the safe side. and they are $20 less per tire.

you are def gonna need to get a 2in body lift or shackles, t bar crank, and trimming to get the 31's to fit. the 265/70 are only 29.54". big difference between the 31 and the 265/70.

 

going with the 255 will definately add more "bulk" to the look of your truck. and do a slight crank if it's a little close. it'll settle a little after you do that anyways, so it should all work out good.

but either way, from experience, the most you can stuff on a stock suspension 2nd gen 4WD is a 245/65/R17 (29.53" O.D.)

So my buddy gave me a set of brand new BF Goodrich Long Trail AT tires for free. He got them in a trade and didn't need them. The size on the tires are 31 x 10.5 x 15. If you read the previous information I am currently running 15 x7 American Racing Aero Wheels w/ 235/75/15 Kumho AT on a '00 Blazer 4wd. I have a bone stock suspension. Would a 2" body lift give me sufficient clearance for these tires. Would I still need to do a T Bar Crank? Any recommendation on body lift kits?
