Default Tire suggestions for ‘79 K5

Need new tires for this ‘79 K5 asap so I can drive it from Colorado to prince Rupert and put her on the ferry to Alaska.

please help, no idea what to get

If you need asap, sounds like whatever is cheapest is what you need

What are you looking for? Mud tires? Snow tires? Highway tires? What size?

We need a little more info if you want any kind of meaningful suggestions.

If you want a generic suggestion, I'd say Goodyear Duratracs. They're pretty good in all conditions and wear reasonably well.

OP hasn't been on since his post. It's highly likely he did not purchase the right tires, and ended up inadvertently driving off a cliff on his way to Prince Rupert

My guess is that he made it safely to Prince Rupert, but slid off the ramp and fell into the water while trying to load it on the ferry to Alaska. It's tragic, really.

Probably because he didn't have the right tires. If only he had gotten on one last time to read some tire recommendations, the tradegy could have been avoided
