I couldn't find any thread about this so I hope I'm not asking an already answer question. I have found some wheels I like and am caught between 15x7 or 15x8. The only difference I can find between the 2 (except the obvious width) is the 8" have 4" backspacing while the 7" have 4.25" of backspacing. So the 8" will stick out the slightest more than the 7"(if I understand backspacing correctly). What I want to know is will the tires look/perform that much different with whichever wheel I choose? I'm running 235/75-15. If anyone can help me with my decision that'd be great. Thanks

If you have a 4x4 go with the 7" the other ones will cause you a lot of issues

Eight minus four equals four. Seven minus four and a quarter equals two and three quarters. Four minus two and three quarters equals one and a quarter.

 

Yeah, sorry the 8" wheels will stick out 1.25" more than the 7"


the 7" will stick out 1.75" more than the stock 4x4 wheels.
