Default Wider Vs Higher tires

What's better for offroading & street driving? Wider (but low) or higher (but narrow) tires? Choosing between 265x70/15 Vs 30x9.5/15 (not much difference).

Yeah, I know your nice looking truck but I decided it's not worth doing all of the above for an extra half inch of rubber lift
Maybe later, I'll cut my fenders really serious to fit even bigger tires like 33x10.5/15, specially that mine is 2 doors too It's that I hate body lifts, don't want to spend too much on a proper suspension lift, and don't want to crank my torsion bars too much with all the bumpy roads I drive in the country. Still, I'm going to crank it a very little

From what i have heard so far, narrower tires are great for mud and road use. The reason that is, is because you have less friction between the road and you vehicle. Also the taller the tire, the easier it is to hold a higher speed while driving being that your RPM's dont need to sky rocket while trying to turn a smaller wheel more times...the way i worded that is probably horrible lol so i apologize, it is definitely easier to explain in person than typing

Don't worry, I see what you mean. But the lower the tires, the more torque you have, and I don't do much mudding. My offroad tracks are mainly mixed trail, plus that I want to keep a balance between on and off-road driving. Don't know

yea you will have quicker/more powerful acceleration but the you will need to start messing with the gears...that is if you try and save face with gas mileage right now my k5 is getting horrible mpg as i have stock 3.42gears and 33x12.5x15r tires on. Once i change them to 4.10/4.11's i will see a noticeable difference in torque and mpg. either way the taller you go the more ground clearance so that may be the next thing to raise your eyebrows
