problem with remote locks

problem with remote locks
my family just got a 2007 trailblazer 2wd auto ls
and we just got back from vacation in it and while we were on vacation we noticed something
if you lock the car with the remote locker, it will lock all the doors but the back window glass
but if you open the glass and close it, it will lock
is this normal or is there a way to get all doors to lock at the same time?
